We will work on developing short presentations to present our artworks for retell to the class on Oct. 25th. Presentations may travel into next week too. Literacy Volunteers and The Crazy Man Update

We are looking for new volunteers to help with the Willow Park Literacy Program. (one to one Reading support) Please contact Joni Mallabone at jemallabone@cbe.ab.ca if you would like to help with this program.  Training will be provided.  The time commitment is flexible – we will work around your schedule!!  We will be thrilled to have your support with this worthwhile program.

As we have been reading, The Crazy Man in class, we have been discussing some strong topics. Some of these topics include the death of a pet, racism, stereotyping, and civil rights. This book has a strong message of growth and acceptance, and we are discussing these ideas within class. If you think that your son or daughter would benefit in speaking about some of these topics further, to strengthen their understanding, I highly encourage you to ask them about the book and discuss it with them to help their personal comprehension of some of these complex areas.
